Director and writer Katsuhiro Ōtomo: “In terms of Kaneda's bike in Akira, the initial inspiration was the lightcycles from Tron designed by Syd Mead. However, they are wide, so I halved them and used that as an initial basis.”

There must be dozens of great game or movie concepts that haven't seen the light of day in recent years so as not to offend fascists. 😤

To celebrate finally finishing my new table set I got some little touches to make it feel more useable in them encroaching long nights. The overground tube fabric cushion was more silly a idea but now feels incredibly fitting. Now to make the rest of the space as nice. #woodworking
