Still in shock that we’ve lost such a vibrant, joyful person. I first met Ann and Brian in Amsterdam in March 2019 and was lucky to spend some time with them whenever their band, Darsombra, performed in the Twin Cities.

My 26 yo son got a text from a friend this morning. Inviting him to see The Stepford Wives (1975) at the Trylon. There's no way my kid would watch that with me but I’m glad he’s going. When I was his age and younger I was seeing movies like Rosemary's Baby & Dr. Strangelove at the Oak Street.

This photo was taken earlier today, before I upset our sweet cats. They didn’t know their day would include a visit from the mobile vet. Our orange boy has already been seen and is pissed. Our tuxedo girl is currently being vaccinated and having her claws trimmed. I hope she will forgive me.

Strange feelings. I’ve been sitting at my desk for the first time since I was laid off. Updating my resume while looking through the limited selection of job openings in my area of expertise. Some are hybrid but in other states. At least Gigi joined me this afternoon.

Every good programmer I know has been saying this to me for months; meanwhile every not-great programmer I know has been trying to outsource their work to ai, causing more issues/delays than they if did it themselves.

I totally get that. If I wait too long between acupuncture and massage therapy sessions, the back of my skull lights up in occipital neuralgia pain. I messed up the cadence in the Spring and paid the price. I’m finally back on track again.
