Of course, the current administration believes otherwise.

During the holiday season, we all want to spend time with our loved ones.

And yet, just two months after buying Walgreens for $10 billion, the private equity firm Sycamore Partners stripped hourly workers of paid vacation, including Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Shameful.

Wrong.

The First Amendment protects our right to record law enforcement activity in public — full stop.
DHS says recording or following law enforcement 'sure sounds like obstruction of justice'
Seven federal circuit courts have upheld the First Amendment right to record and monitor the police.

When people discuss "post-credit" scenes in movies and tv shows, I often think many of them don't understand the "post" part.

That Trump posted this isn't shocking. We know Trump is a piece of shit excuse for a human being. But the refusal of others to condemn it will speak volumes about their own humanity.
this is one of the most psychotic things Trump has ever posted

This important read (it's a must-read reminder of just how problematic generative AI is) is as hilarious as it is infuriating.

OK, I lied. It's actually more infuriating than hilarious. Any society that thinks "ehhh, close enough" when presenting information should fuck all the way off.

There is no way I could make a statement like this without either vomiting or laughing.
Rep. Austin Scott to Trump: "Thank you very much, Mr President. We love you."

I've always thought Gene Simmons came off like an asshole, but suggesting that a 74 year old falling down the stairs was unlikely to result in death seems pretty fucking insane.

Just what I would expect from an administration that claims to be (despite so much evidence to the contrary) in favor of life. It's so on-brand for them to be against abortion yet take proactive measures to increase the number of deaths of children that have been born.

Or--and here me out--Republicans in Congress can get interested enough in this to stop this. There is nothing stopping them but he's passing the buck to the American people, waiting on MAGA to finally turn on Trump so they won't face political blow back. He's a fucking coward.
Rand Paul tells me that he wants the full video of the Venezuelan boat strike released.

“And I think if the public sees images of people clinging to boat debris and being blown up, I think that there is a chance that finally, the public will get interested enough in this to stop this.”

People are fucking disgusting. I hope there's a special level of hell for guards like these that torture inmates, let alone disabled ones.
This is how disabled & marginalized inmates are treated in jail.

Videos from the Rankin County jail show Larry Buckhalter being electrocuted & then instructed to wish a Happy Birthday to the former head of the jail.

Racism & ableism are a horrific combination.

Having the Coast Guard, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, decide that a swastika isn’t really a symbol of hate? That makes me, an American Jew, feel pretty damn unsafe.

This from the idiot who has suggested vaccines cause autism. So if you think HE thinks you should be rewarded to take steps for making yourself healthier -- you're wrong. He just wants poor people to die.
Markwayne Mullin: "Reward people for being healthy. Think about this. Healthcare is the only industry that you're not rewarded for taking care of your responsibility. If you think about homeowners insurance, if you're within 500 feet of a fire hydrant, your insurance goes down."

To be fair, it's always embarrassing to be asked why you had someone tortured and dismembered because he said a mean thing.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."
