This goes beyond wrestling fans and I've posted this but it's such a dullwitted approach by conservative power to try to coerce Americans out of expressing contrary opinions after they've trained them with propaganda for years to express opinions specifically because power tries to suppress them.
Beginning to think the people in charge don’t understand how wrestling fans work
Hmmm. Louder then.

I'm always posting this but the people who are always posting that anyone who believes the lying lamestream media are mindless easily-duped sheeple are always posting bogus info from obvious grifting liars like mindless easily-duped sheeple.
It's remarkable how often the loudest people complaining that journalists are liars and biased are also the first people to share whatever random bullshit pops up in their social media feeds when there is a mass shooting or terrorist attack

In dire need of carrot. Absolutely carrotless. No carrots to be found for love or money. Their kingdom for a carrot. Ten thousand sticks when all you need is a carrot.
The challenge for fascism is not when it is fighting for control but when it gains control: because then it has to create a cultural product that people are consistently happy with. And, well, just look at the Turning Point USA Super Bowl show or that Match of The Day they had without commentators.

Racism, like pee, is stored in the balls.
“There’s not a racist bone in my body” - someone whose bones, upon close examination, are in fact all racist

Probably some hockey player, though a guy from my grad class did win the Amazing Race Canada.
I'm higher on the list than I should be considering I'm nobody.
Who's the most famous alum of your high school?

I'll go first: David Draiman of Disturbed

Bullworth (1998)
Josie and the Pussycats (2001)
Napoleon Dynamite (2004)
In Bruges (2008)
Have asked this before and always like the responses. What are your biggest “I saw that in the first run cinema” flexes? Couple of mine:

Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)
Office Space (1999)

Oh, I fully expect these concentration camps to be the most shocking and horrific element of the Trump regime. We haven't glimpsed a fraction of it yet. It will be worse than anyone has imagined, a true historic blight on American conservatism that must be pinned to their lapels forever.
pretty obvious at this point that the conditions in the MAGA camps are considerably worse than Japanese internment
"A modern-day concentration camp ... People have been killed by the staff here." Irish citizen Seamus Culleton has been in ICE detention since September, despite having a valid work permit and his own business in the US.

True but I think the reality goes further: their aggressive attempt to force the US and the world to accept him as a righteous and valiant martyr exposed him as a hateful hack demagogue even faster and has made him not forgotten but remembered as an object of derision and ridicule. Solid work!
Remember when Charlie Kirk got shot and the right was like "THIS IS CIVIL WAR!" and three weeks later he was completely forgotten about? That's going to be most all the rest of these assholes too

"Hello, voice."
Whenever some digital or automated vocal whatever cheerily greets me.
Does anyone else have an MST3K line they use regularly, even if it makes no sense out of context?

Because I have both "That'll keep your panfish down for a while." and "Come come, boys, we must confound Jerry at every turn!" from MST3K the movie alone.

This is kind of a fundamental difference that isn't even necessary ideological, it's sort of a pre-ideological determinor or something to that effect, like you're more likely to veer away from the new and unfamiliar and therefore end up in conservatism than to do it because you're already there.
Watched the halftime show. I guess where I fundamentally depart from MAGA is that, when I see something like this, celebrating a culture that's not quite mine, with some references I don't get, something that's not For Me ... I *like* it. I like seeing inside other worlds. Why wouldn't you?

Great point. Trump plays "You Can't Always Get What You Want" at his rallies all the time and I would be fascinated to hear what he thinks that song is about and how it's applicable to him and his political mission.
I don't know why conservatives complain about Bad Bunny singing in Spanish. They never listen to lyrics anyway. They think "Born in the USA" is an upbeat patriotic song. They played "We will rock you" on Trump's rallies to rev up the crowd. Trump jerks off two invisible dicks to YMCA.

Learning in the wake of last night that comprehension of visual meanings in art is in many sectors of the American media and the public extremely poor.

Bad Bunny's style has always defied expectations. So, amid intense speculation that he would use his Super Bowl outfit to subvert masculine stereotypes, stage a protest or publicly lambast ICE (again), it was perhaps no surprise that he did precisely none of those things. https://cnn.it/4kv3OY6

"Ferments", what a freak, he sounds like a freak, he knows that, right?
RFK Jr on what he'll eat during the Super Bowl: "I am on a carnivore diet so I just eat meat and ferments, and I'm very happy with that. So I'm probably going to have yogurt."

Supporters of Donald Trump should not want to be getting themselves into an insult-slinging session on the basis of personal appearance, either in terms of themselves or of their king.
Worth noting that this response actually concedes that what Pritzker said is true.

The longer tail of The Muppet Show revival is a Meet the Feebles remake, mark my words.
New Muppet Show yet again confirms the unassailability of the “puppets scrambling to put on a little show” format

Funny, innit, how the folks so eager to call others sheeple do and think exactly as they're told
And the trend goes both ways, by the way.

The US government is telling Americans to hate Europeans and Canadians. And many have dutifully changed their opinions.

Clapping my flippers together and honking like a harbor seal when a Super Bowl ad for a condiment or gambling app featuring two celebrities unexpectedly reveals a third celebrity as its punchline. Bouncing a ball around on my snout. My wife has to throw me a herring to get me to calm down.

Leaving everything else aside, that would take decades and no one is funding or actually doing it after he's gone.
Trump is making it clear that he intends to put himself on Mt. Rushmore before he leaves
February 6, 2026 at 1:45 PM
A common cope with Trump malaise is to anticipate his death and that's a good one, can't wait for that, but another solid option is the certainty that his vocal supporters now will pretend that they never liked him once he's gone and disgraced.
Feel free to tell them that now, too.
