I agree with this. It's not their fault. It's kind of hard for them in a way they can't say anything to you candidly without several ppl showing up and they can't ignore ppl who are fans. It's a very difficult situation for them. I wish ppl were more considerate...but 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yup and I'm gonna be real here it's very very often white ppl not solely but a huge majority.

And like is your need to be seen so intense that you would ignore/push everyone to the side for 2 minutes of oh talking to THIS person?

That's really something to think about.

It does some what irl but mostly online.

I don't know what the solution is. Like I want to talk to my friends! I want them to respond...but I'm not part of the convo other ppl are starting with them after they respond to me so I guess I'll just be quiet and ppl can eat it up idk!

I am always the famous person's invisible friend...and I love my friend(s) they are good and kind. But....can I not get knocked over in ppls enthusiasm on my own pages cuz ppl want two seconds of attention??

It's quite mean and rude because they cut me out of my own thread on my own feed where I was just existing...doing nothing to no one and just talking abt my life.

But you know...they need attention.

This is not a really nice thing to mention or bring up but it happens a lot to me. The virtual turning your back to me in SM reply thread...because eager for the attention of the person replying to me.

It's rough. Idk would you like someone to do that to you?

I love when a friend more "known" responds to me (no shade i LOVE you friends) and then ppl respond to that "famous person" they follow but insta makes it look like the person cared abt what I had to say cuz it included me in the reply but lol no they were talking to famous ppl they follow

Though I have to admit this seems a bit of an odd stance in the word of trad pub. I see it of course with weird books (there are lots of those which I love)

Ppl are bewildered at the idea that you put forth something that was written to disrupt their thoughts/not satisfy.

It's very interesting.

I want to be known as a writer who took risks and was ambitious...and did things that record scratched what people expected in a way that was jarring and made people go wait why?
I'm very interested in discomfort and dissatisfaction and the whys of those feelings.
I've said a book is an art exhibit.

I don't conceptualize my work as a product when I write it, tho I know that I have chosen the path where I sell it.
I make art which I choose to sell.
The words I keep in mind when I make that art are audacity, risk, disruption, ambition, pushing boundaries.
not satisfaction or nostalgia.
