So angry, all the time - oh look a cat!
Now, obviously this woman's behaviour is indefensible, but it is interesting how different the response is when the victims are men. If this had happened the other way around ... www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Hot Mum was last shown on the BBC in 1984. Farage was last shown on the BBC just now.
Farage tried to excuse his past racist remarks by referencing the BBC's past output.

But the BBC now broadcasts some old shows with prominent warnings, and others it won't rebroadcast at all. So it is VERY clear that they understand that attitudes back then are unacceptable to modern sensibilities.

I know there's more to it, but this does annoy me.
Years and years campaigns encouraging people to ask for help when they are suffering with mental health problems.

More people ask for help when they are suffering with mental health problems.

OMG why are so many people asking for help when they are suffering with mental health problems.

AN OLD MAN RANTS: increasingly coming across waiters chummily asking ‘what have you been up to this morning?’ while taking a lunch order or ‘any plans for the rest of the day?’ Obv they mean it kindly. But JUST STOP IT. You don’t know if I’ve been to a funeral, or am going for a prostate exam 1/2

🔴There's been a lot of coverage about David Lammy’s cuts to jury trials but relatively little - nothing! - on his plans to scrap the automatic right to appeal so I took a look for @bylinetimes.bsky.social.

That's why you never see poor children. Just doesn't happen. Science."

You will be shocked to discover after reading these stories that while Rachel Reeves claimed to have been the "British girls under-14 [chess] champion" she was in reality merely the "Under 14s British Women’s Chess Association (BWCA) Girls" Champion.

This is getting utterly ridiculous now

Over a third of Welsh Labour Senedd Members have written to Keir Starmer to stop undermining devolution.

They say:

"If this was being done by a Tory Government, we would be calling for a judicial review. This must never happen again."

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.
I'm so tired of measles.

I'm also tired of people using needle shots on stories like this.

Show what measles looks like.

Good thread on some of the reasons for the state of near collapse of the court system - none of which will be improved by restricting jury trials. ⬇️
Here is a list of reasons why some of my hearings and trials this year have been delayed and kicked off into the long grass, stuck in our record court backlog. Serious allegations which will now be tried *years* after the event. 🧵👇

The Labour Party is haemorrhaging votes among the under 40s.

Where do the under 40s get their news?

For most of them it's not from traditional media.

Yet the news paper barons are still treated as gods of the political scene.

Let’s all pledge to call out the ignorance and bigotry that can leave people feeling excluded. Let’s stand against the bullies and with the bullied.

Let’s focus on love, not hate.
