So many people dog AI, but when I see it used in assistive technology, it's <3 <3 <3. One of my coworkers just showed me some smart glasses that save transcripts and display live text right on the screen, with also some AI assistance. Shit is DOPE.

I agree.

As an example, we built Spec Kit (github.com/github/spec-...) to add some determinism to the engineering process with LLMs.

Results are night and day.

There are a lot of folks who still think that "vibe coding" = using LLMs to build software. It's not. I use these tools daily.
At the risk of starting the flame war to end all flame wars...

Modern LLMs (GPT-5.1, Claude 4.5, Gemini 3) produce excellent code and can be a significant productivity boost to software engineers who take the time to learn how to effectively apply them - especially if used with coding agent tools

Nothing beats explaining to someone that I used AI to generate a program that creates tools to call from AI, which then incorporated that thing with the thing calling the AI, and allowing it to debug and correct itself via AI, for the sake of *me*.😂
