You have to ask, why was Witkoff chosen for this critically important role of special envoy to Putin? He had no diplomatic or foreign policy experience. No education on those subjects. So of all people, why him? I think what we all surmised is clear - Putin wanted Witkoff.

When I mentioned that GDP per capita doesn’t account for inequality, when you consider the US, consider these 800 billionaires. I read an article today arguing the US poverty line should be around $130k for a family of four. The current poverty line measures starvation.
You cannot have a functioning economy when so few people at the top hold so much of the nation’s wealth. It’s not sustainable.
