This tiny quilt (32” x 48”) is officially my favorite thing I ever made 😊 It incorporates my love of scraps & color theory in a way that feels very ME. It was a very challenging puzzle I enjoyed. I will pursue this technique further! #QuiltSky

There's a super-viral post going around on here with replies and quotes disabled that is just a rip-off of someone else's image from more than a decade ago. See old.reddit.com/r/mildlyinte... for what *might* be the original source but it's hard to say.

I went to Etsy, where I also sell, to support small fabric shops, but have yet to find the products I used to find so easily at JoAnn’s.
As an independent artisan who supports local like it’s a religion, I admit I’m very much missing JoAnn’s right now. I mostly bought unbleached muslin there, for curtains, for quilt backing, in many widths. Now trying to buy muslin with a finished selvedge, online, is proving incredibly frustrating.

Going to keep hammering that morale is a thing, and it’s important to every resistance movement from the beginning of time.
Please don't accuse people in knitted hats of only wearing their supposed politics if all you're doing is posting, which is basically just another way of wearing your politics. It's a silly thing to attack people over in any case. Using fashion to signal support for ongoing acts of rebellion is good

Today is the day I will start organizing mom’s papers to send to her tax prep guy. So far I have: scrubbed the bathtub, potted up some rooted clippings, bought underwear online…🥴

I’m seeing photos of snowdrops, hellebores, and even daffodils where spring is starting in places other than here near Boston 🌱

We need to stop guilelessly believing in inventions from horrid overrich people who are doing everything they can to stop having to experience the empty misery they feel inside. Everything is geared toward stopping experience and feeling. Stop aging. Stop being creative. Stop trying. Stop seeking.

Hellebore season! The slugs are obviously finding them popular as well, but it’s a small price to pay to have blooms in midwinter. #bloomscrolling 🌱 #flowerreport

Same in Philly. Having lived there for a time during my time working at Harvard, I can assure you Waymos ain’t gonna work out in Boston either. They will be run off the roads and much worse.

Google: “hitchBOT” 😂🤖
Like, a driverless car, I assume, has to obey traffic rules? If you obey traffic rules in Boston you will be RUINED

Yeah- I remember being in a cab leaving the Boston Airport where there was this huge merge scrum with multiple lanes of cars - it was insane. I asked the taxi driver "how do you do this?" He replied, "Never make eye contact."

can’t use lane recognition if a “lane” is just the venn diagram of a state of mind and the space between the potholes.

Lolololol Boston lolololololllllll
Waymo made a weirdly cryptic announcement of "groundwork" laying in Boston & Sacramento.

Waymo has requested CPUC permission to expand to Sacramento. CPUC will prob ok it as fast as they can ink their rubber stamp, ie next voting meeting.

Massachusetts hasn't legalized uncrewed ADS yet, IIRC.

As a miserable, perimenopausal, Gen-Xer I’m gonna need some middle-aged affirmations on my menstrual products instead. Like “oh FFS, I thought this was over already” or “welp, that explains the rage eating” and “stop telling me it’s good to keep having periods!!”
