She/her. I’m all about being a human and treating others as such. Tolerance is key. I’m also a total nut with a weird sense of humor. When i’m not laughing at myself, I love to read, love music, art, write poetry and Haiku and I’m an amateur photographer.

Summer 2023 - I was able to photograph Red-winged Blackbird fledglings, as well as females!

I hope these fascinating birds return to the same place - #SpringGroveCemetery - so I can watch the females dance on the pond duckweed, catch insects and feed their young 🪶🌿

We have a foot of snow here at the beach where it rarely even flurries, so I'm freaking out a little. We won't see any melting for days, and there are some pretty deep drifts ---eeeek!

So far I only have one duck painting that I like, so here it is again; I rarely say this, but I am happy with the way that this turned out.

Good morning Bluesky!

Happy February! We’ve made it through the long cold month of January. It hasn’t been easy, has it? February always starts to seem more hopeful, and I hope it’s starting well for you. Stay strong. Take good care of yourself and each other.

Catarday, smatarday, don’t post anything cute about me, don’t say anything cute about me, just leave me alone.
Ha! Caught her unaware, a rare moment of cuteness as she sleeps. This is it, she’ll be back to feral cat in no time at all.

Warm coffee steams rise,
Neighbors sneak chewy treasure—
Laughter spills like cream

Crunchy crumbs betray,
the cookie bandit confesses,
“Friends share crumbs, right?”

Brewed warmth in tall mugs,
sticky fingers and sly grins mix
Sweet chaos begins

I don't think people understand that if you shut down the government, ICE and CBP do NOT shut down. They're funded by supplemental money from the BBB. That's why dems are separating the DHS funding bill and asking for restrictions. I want them to demand a rescission of that funding or shut DHS down
