I think this whole affair is telling about the modern right wing mindset. All that was removed is some generic old timey nostalgia pandering, a far cry from anything related to race and gender politics. So why then, do they decry it, not only as generically bad, but specifically as "woke"?

This kind of logic of AI stans always gets me--like, "You can't put the genie back in the bottle, you can't just shut it down!" Yes you can. You can simply unplug the servers from the wall, I do it every day.
The new thing is to say that the left is "unreasonably anti-AI" and that "the technology is here and we cant feasibly turn the servers off" and it's like... wow y'all really love to incorporate propaganda into your politics!!
