Ah. Well, then.
So with Comiket day 2 starting, the EGS crew have announced something they've been working on for a good, hot minute.
More information will be revealed in the year to come.
But in 2025... prepare to re-open the item shop.

I think most of all I love that flames that came before jim and merril passed through them to me and my friends and on to others who will make their own things unknowingly inspired by jim and merrils work and quiet social work keeping teens out of trouble.

I'm so glad we got to give the world a taste of what it was like playing rifts and gamma world and D&D at our mid 90s south florida tabletops. We really thought we had something special, and I guess we did.

Anyway, I'm personally very excited for the majority of Japanese game devs to still refuse to give me playable builds of the games they want localized no matter how many NDAs I sign or security precautions I take despite being able to point to 99.99% of the leaks they fear not coming from us lol

As someone who has gone through "onboarding" at a Valnet website, it is 100% believable that this person has never even been told what an "embargo" is and the difference between that and a "deadline".

This happening at a Valnet owned site is proof that games media cannot continue to exist with 0 mentorship, editorial oversight, general education for new writers.
No writer assigned a review should not understand what an "embargo" is and how to uphold it.
This is just as much on their editor.

Gee, you could try paying folks what they're worth in order to encourage them to do the work, especially as folks become more & more aware of the value of their labor.
... Nah, we need the politicians to find us more slaves.
And then they wonder why they struggle.

Farmers in deep-red Pennsylvania are struggling to find workers. They're pushing lawmakers to move faster on a farm labor solution, even as Trump cracks down on immigration.
“We need people to do the jobs Americans are too spoiled to do," said one farmer and three-time Trump voter.

Talk about an unexpected September bloom at the box office, which continued this weekend with a cornucopia of new offerings led by the record-smashing U.S. debut of the Japanese anime sequel Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – the Movie Infinity Castle. The Sony-owned Crunchyroll is handling the movie in North America and a raft of foreign territories, excluding Japan and other select Asian markets.
