It is very difficult! But even in the thorniest cases where you’re ejecting an Israeli family who literally stole a Palestinian family’s house at gunpoint, the place that Israeli family goes is “housing somewhere else in Israel”, not “Poland”.

My controversial opinion is that Harris ran a pretty good campaign that was neither particularly centrist nor particularly left-wing and mostly focused on “Donald Trump is bad and corrupt,” a politically neutral message capable of mostly uniting the party.

I’m not saying he wasn’t evil, just that he had no ideological loyalty to Palpatine’s particular set of practices and beliefs. He joined the Sith in his seventies after a lifetime as a Jedi, I don’t think it’s a stretch to suggest that he’d want something structurally closer to the latter.

IMO this is what Dooku really wanted the whole time anyhow. Like yes he was a “Sith” but the guy he really wanted to overthrow and replace was Yoda, not Palpatine. There’s no way he holds on to things like the Rule of Two (he barely followed them during the clone wars).

The difficult thing about clone wars hypotheticals is we really have no idea how these factions would fare in a straight-up fight because they were both being stage-managed the whole time.
