So true! A big part of this is rightwing cooption and coercion of mainstream media. When calling 'balls & strikes' got twisted into sanewashing and bothsides, Dems - and the truth - hardly stood a chance.
Something has changed deep down in the informational structure of American society and frankly it feels like our political thinkers don’t want to acknowledge it so they constantly retreat to this idea it can be solved with snappier campaign slogans - better branding and it’s 1997 again.
