talk to me about bias strip art! tsumami zaiku from Japan, pankou cloth buttons from china, rouleau embroidery from France
u heard sharon, everyone post about their esoteric interests right fucking now. for the good of the community, we need to be hyperfixationmaxxing.
i think this site really needs to figure out how to grow the non-politics verticals (the baseball moment was a good thing!) because i suspect a lot of the bad clusters come out of the political clusters driving 95% of ENG-lang posts

very excited about how my final piece for my decorative fabrics class turned out- this is a Sonia Delauney inspired tissue paper/vellum/Canson paper/acetate collage pattern I made, designed for upholstery. the design is meant to evoke light rippling across the water of rainy city puddles! 💙

just remembered how at my old job I used to have to log every single hour of my work week to properly bill my time and I was chronically bad at it so I was always logging a month’s worth of time in an hour at the end of the month and god I hated doing that shit so much lol

Kind of wild how the nanowrimo org falling apart totally cratered the community aspect of people writing together. Of course writing is an inherently slower and more personal thing but I feel like I haven’t seen anything thing comparable to how many small prompt lists popped up to replace Inktober

I know I'm always banging on about this, but food banks can do so much more with your donation if you give money rather than food itself.
food banks have already been under pressure over the past several years, and with SNAP benefits expiring they're going to be the only safety net for a lot of people

please donate what you can. $100 can feed several families for a month because of the discounts and purchasing power they have
