Dave Roberts, what a coward. Shaikin and Plaschke are right (!), Jackie Robinson wouldn’t have gone. Neither did the Warriors during Trump 1. Beat LA … because they really deserve it www.latimes.com/california/n...
Dodgers' biggest debate is not who to sign. It's whether to visit Trump's White House
Your morning catch-up: Dodgers' acceptance of a White House invite stirs up fans and Times columnists, Trump immigration sweeps last year upended L.A.’s economy, and more big stories.

This is a thing a San Francisco judge said right before he sentenced to probation the person who drove their SUV into a family of four waiting at a bus stop at 70 mph

Here’s what I want in subway stations: a safe place to get on the train. That’s it.
Sitting here open-mouthed at this Sound Transit board presentation, because it was just explained that making Ballard Link's Seattle Center station "slightly trapezoidal" would save the agency a HALF BILLION DOLLARS.

Oh, but it’ll get better

Center-running transit-only lanes w no curbs *can* work
February 10, 2026 at 7:59 PM
Per mile isn’t a great way to measure cost-effectiveness for local service (this is why stuff like WestCAT is top of this list), but nonetheless—BRT can work
We need Tempo lines all around the Bay!!
One single local BRT line in Oakland (AC Transit Tempo) serves more riders than the entire VTA Light Rail system, and has a Cost Effectiveness that rivals our top *regional* transit services

Bay Area should be super-funding East Bay BRT if they distributed funding based on objective metrics

As someone who’s actually observed stop sign compliance, the rate in an urban setting (where peds sometimes require a full stop) was around 25%
Absolutely damning study documenting the rate of drivers breaking the law

"extrapolated, the data projects a staggering 200,000 daily violations at just these intersections"

Confirms what everyone has experienced since Covid. All it took was to set up cameras and document it

Sacramento deserves a regional rail system. What would it take to build it?

Have literally never heard someone say “drivers here aren’t bad, actually.” Wherever I’ve been
coming up with a new idea called "driving like shit olympics". no more bland, unprovable statements like "california drivers are the WORST" allowed. whichever state wins every 4 years gets a moonshot-sized public transit investment to get those fuckers off the road

Others are directed at the concentration camp guards inside.

Yes! Finally. Lake Merritt is finally underway too
We want to be transparent about this now so those who drive and park at West Oakland can start tart looking into alternatives for the change later this year.
