I mostly like and recirculate posts here. I never discuss my current work, and only rarely my previous work. (The specifics are mostly NDA'd, and the generalities you can get from less socially-anxious game writers.)

While ReBoot isn't lost media by any means, the extent to which this restoration project has been going is simply INCREDIBLE.
They got the D-1 master tapes. Then the hardware to read them. Then service manuals to repair/maintain. THEN, CRITICAL REPLACEMENT PARTS. And now they're ERROR CORRECTING.

Hard no to this: French publisher Harlequin has told translators that their work will now be done by AI. They can ‘revise’ AI translations at much lower rate. It’s a subsidiary of Harper Collins so treat this as a test for rollout elsewhere

I got a response from Hooded Horse's community manager on my review saying that they will be replacing all the AI art and making sure this doesn't happen again. I'm still not happy about this happening at all in the first place but this is probably the best outcome we could hope for

I don’t think Larian understood that when they casually talk about their use of genAI it wasn’t spoken into a board room or a zoom call full of people thinking about numbers, it was to a host of fans who looked to them as an example of humanity and art persisting in spite of things like that.
