Saved up a week of #uncanny again so I can binge it all in a oner.

There’s a story - Janey Died Here - and I can really relate to it.

This is Milo. He was my baby. The best, smartest, funniest dog I’ve ever met. He died suddenly in 2011 - he was 14, it was a good age. 🧵

'Lady in White' - a little-known, but rather effective, ghost story - is currently on Prime. It clearly owes a lot to "Something Wicked This Way Comes", and while it's occasionally a little too heavy on the cheese, the darkness at the heart of this movie is far more grounded.

Of course women don't like the cybertruck.

Women only want one thing and that's the One Ring.

Bob Hoover would perform aerobatics in his Shrike Commander (a twin engine business plane) while wearing a suit and tie.

Back when they allowed passengers during the performance and he'd pour a cup of tea while in a 1G roll.
You should make some sort of chart to show that
That's what men think is the minimum
That's because the people in the space suits are actually children. (really)

In 2014 I wrote for @newyorker.com about @kurtjmac.bsky.social, a YouTuber who began walking in Minecraft and never stopped. His quest was to reach the Far Lands, a place at the limits of the algorithmic world, where the landscape breaks apart. On Saturday, after fourteen years, he arrived:
A Journey to the End of the World (of Minecraft)

These single file text documents were works of art.

Give me one of these over any other form.

Ask what you would rather have:

- Information spread across 100 web pages full of adverts and cookie popups

- Everything a single ctrl+f search away

'Night and the City' by Chris Donlan remains one of the finest online articles on game urbanism ever. Somehow simultaneously personal, historical, and objective it is an excellent read, and a reminder that L.A. Noir remains truly unique.

Six years ago, I wrote most of the Tragedian dialogue for Pathologic 2 in iambic pentameter. I'm back now doing the same for Pathologic 3. I figured it was helpful to write a guide on *how* I did it – in case I get hit by a bus and the team has to carry on without me.
