The biggest squid in the world is the Colossal Squid, the largest invertebrate by mass, reaching up to 14 meters and over 500 kg, while the Giant Squid is longer, potentially reaching 13 meters or more, but is less massive, with both species living in the deep ocean and being rarely seen.

Just now: M2.4 + M2 solar flares from AR 4299 and AR 4294, respectively. There is a CME associated with the former that looks to have a substantial Earth-directed component! Great news for aurora chasers to mark a potentially THIRD Earth-directed CME hitting this week.

The reflection from the lake below is scattered and subtle because the lake is frozen over. I was not expecting that because this lake doesn't freeze often.
