29 days. What Dems have been asking for remains the same: to negotiate a bipartisan agreement to reopen the government, protect critical programs like SNAP, WIC, & Head Start, and make health care more affordable for all Americans. Dems are here, ready, & willing to work — where are the Republicans?

Islamophobia in the US is a bigotry that is fully normalized and mostly unchallenged.
Cuomo has went all in on the anti Arab and anti Muslim rhetoric and decided to laugh along to a "Mamdani would support 9/11" joke.

NBC News Axes NBC Asian America Among Other Cuts in Restructuring
NBC News recently laid off 150 staffers in what the company is calling a necessary restructuring tied to the split between NBC News and MSNBC, as reported by The Wrap and The Advocate . The team behind NBC Asian America, a group of dedicated journalists who spent years telling stories about our community that mainstream media often overlooked, was included in the layoff. For many of us in the Asian American community (and other marginalized groups) this move is more than just corporate...

Please consider supporting your local food bank if you can.

For DC, this combined with federal workers who are furloughed now needing to access the local food banks, will be devastating
I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

Long Lead's newest feature THE AGE OF INCARCERATION puts a human face on one of the darkest stains of U.S. history — the unjust incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII.

It's a testimony of a time when the U.S. locked up its own people simply because of where their families had come from.
Putting American history on ICE
In Long Lead's latest photo feature, some of the last survivors of Japanese American incarceration share haunting memories of injustice that echo to the present day.

Japanese American Incarceration Survivors Remember What the US Forgot
During WWII, President Roosevelt invoked the Alien Enemies Act and incarcerated 125,000 Japanese Americans. Eighty years later, some of the camps’ last survivors reflect on lives scarred by injustice.

I’m begging folks to mask up for Pride events! Show solidarity with your disabled and high risk peers and make the event safe and inclusive for everyone.

Now more than ever we need to stay united and ensure no one is left behind.

Masking is resistance.

Masking is community care.
