The Cult died on July 7, 2025, most people just didn't realize it.

MAGA is a religious movement. They truly believed they were doing God's work. What both Trump and the rest of the world missed was a misunderstanding of religion: Trump was a prophet, not a God. God is infallible, prophets fall.

Good.
Remarkable: 55% of noncollege whites and even 50% of rural whites say ICE is too aggressive, per new Fox News poll.

And 71% of independents disapprove of Trump on immigration.

This is digging deep into Trump's base.

We detail these numbers on today's pod:

Trump Tirade over Protests Goes Off Rails as Crushing Fox Poll Hits
As Trump grows more delusional about how hated his ICE raids have become, a longtime pro-immigrant organizer explains why this may be a watershed moment in terms of public opinion on the issue.

It really really really is.
Imagine never having to be accountable for anything in your life.

When you takeover and single handedly destroy a thriving business in 6 months, you simply announce you’re closing it for renovations for 2 years to save face.

THIS IS HOW TRUE LOSERS ARE MADE.

This right here.
Whites can’t bear to lose. So they change the rules.

Why am I suddenly filled with glee after reading this?
Former Texas Lege reporter here. A Dem hasn't held this seat since 1990. Tarrant is the safest of red suburban counties. There is no way the TX and national GOP aren't in panic mode right now.
JUST IN: Democrats flip a red seat in the Texas Senate.

Taylor Rehmet wins against Leigh Wambsganss, a conservative activist who helped lead right-wing efforts to take over TX school boards.

With all early vote, and 95% of precincts, in, Dem up 57/43.

Trump won this seat by 17% in Tarrant County.

It is phenomenal that this now-adult woman is able to stand up and speak out and tell her truth despite such trauma.
“I was raped three times a day and I wasn’t the only girl. It was a conveyor belt of abuse.”

Wonder why?🤔
I guess they are pretty upset.

For some reason.

He's still got his hat!!! (Or did someone buy him a replacement at least?)
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

I love that the judge signed the order with a picture of Liam Ramos 🔥💙🗽

And also that he referenced these passages:

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

 "Jesus wept." (John 11:35)

Someone smart mentioned about Cheeto's family starting with his dad's generation. They wanted to have money. They did that. Then they wanted fame. Cheeto did that. But now, more than anything, they crave power.
Power may be the worst addiction of all.

Every Republican, deep down, knows that Trump did many of the things mentioned about him in the Epstein files, but they don’t care because power is more important to them than justice.

😂😂😂😂😂😂
Republicans are clearly not praying hard enough.

Now is the time to fight like hell to get those non-voters in Texas pumped up.
Once TX turns blue, the GOP cannot win another national election.

Know hope!

Also, keep fighting: protest, become an ICE observer, vote...

Yep
Two things can be true: we’re a competitive authoritarian state with all sorts of efforts to put a thumb on the scale of who has power AND we have sufficiently free and sufficiently fair elections that every month we see the party in power lose.

Normalcy bias can be deadly.
Monday morning, most people have to go to work.

So, we have the problem in general of normalcy bias, where people want to continue on AS NORMAL in a crisis

but also the salient fact that many things in a crisis DO continue on 'as though things are normal'

NONE OF THIS IS NORMAL

THE FIRE IS HERE

What Christopher said.
Do not protest at night under the cover of darkness. Video is our greatest weapon. We must bear witness, so what’s happening needs to be seen. Do not damage or destroy property. That’s how authorities manufacture “just cause” to crack down.

Don’t fuck this up for the rest of us. Please. Thank you.

Right!
If all these oligarchs named in the Epstein Files are totally innocent, surely they’d be in favor of an independent investigation into Epstein’s crimes.

Right?

Yay, Adam.
Mockler: My unpopular opinion is that Melania's movie makes a great first date. Because the theater will be empty. You can bring in food, you can chat. There's nobody around there bothering you.
