I don't think any government can "save" further and higher education in the UK. Not when every attempt to do so is from an "economic benefit" perspective.

So John Swinney's "new" referendum plan is to do the same thing that the SNP have done in every Holyrood election. Both votes SNP, so we have a majority.

I think the thing that I find most exhausting about Britain is just that nothing works. At all. Even a little bit.
The government has slashed public spending to such an extent that every service I interact with has failed catastrophically all year, and the message from them is that it'll get worse.
