To be clear, I don't just want journalists to label fascism. I want them to explain it, to examine, investigate, and report on it in the context of history and the world. They can't do that if they are unwilling even to use the word, masking reality, hiding behind euphemisms. That is not journalism.
"Diorama of power dynamics." Beyond euphemism, that is glib glorification of dictatorship. The #BrokenTimes would rather show off its turn of phrase than call fascism what it is.
