A gay man from a country town once showed me the newspaper column of mine he'd kept in his wallet since (pre-socials) school; it said he was not alone & would find his people. Social media can be a lifeline for kids who're bullied, live in abusive home, or whose hobbies/interests are anti-anxiety.

A whole lot of not thinking things through with this policy.

Pretty much assumes everyone is a middle-upper class white, straight teenager with no issues living in a city

Planned to go to the beach today what with it being amazing beach weather and all.

Woke up and realised I didn't actually want to go, so stayed home.

A cool thing I just realized. Bluesky’s positivity algorithm means if you are replying to brands or companies with about their treatment of workers, how their products are poor quality or have ethical issues your reply will likely be hidden because it’s not “positive”

Fun!

Any australian oat milk fans out there?

I'm looking for something a lot thinner and lighter than So Good - which is tasty, but halfway to custard imho.

Any brand recommendations?

It’s comforting to believe the tens of millions of Americans who didn’t vote would have voted against Trump, but there is zero evidence to support this notion.

We have to accept that Americans elected a criminal fascist, that they may do so again in the future, and write foreign policy accordingly.
