The pattern of ICE apparently hustling its detainees over a state border to frustrate habeas petitions in the jurisdiction where they were detained continues.

Remember that ICE didn’t disclose Öztürk’s location, publicly or to her counsel, until she reached Louisiana.

That Petitioner is alleging her removal proceedings were initiated in retaliation for her exercise of the First Amendment does not remove her claim from Section 1252(g)'s reach. Holder, No. 12-CV- 5261 SJF, 2013 WL 6092707, at *6 (E.D.N.Y. Nov. 18, 2013) (Claim of initiation of proceedings in retaliatory manner "falls squarely within Section 1252(g) ... [and] that [t]he pending immigration proceedings are the appropriate forum for addressing petitioner's retaliation claim in the first instance."). As such, judicial review of Petitioner's claim that commencement of removal proceedings is unconstitutional is barred by Section 1252(g).

With all the hate going on against Tesla's now, I decided to write our Congressman. I highly encourage all of you do the same. Just in the news today, they burnt down an entire charging station in Boston, Massachusetts, and it seems that many of the Bay Area Tesla Service Centers are being infiltrated with protestors daily (vandalising brand new Tesla's, and harassing customers). Here is what I wrote: Subject: Addressing Harassment and Violence Against Tesla Owners Dear Congressman Garamendi, I am writing to seek your assistance in addressing the growing harassment, hostility, and violence directed toward Tesla owners across California and the United States. You may be aware of the increasing incidents involving vandalism, road rage, and targeted aggression toward individuals simply because they own and drive a Tesla. As both a concerned citizen and a 24-year retired military veteran, I find it deeply troubling that owning an American-made vehicle has made me—and many others—a target for unjustified hostility. I have personally experienced multiple alarming incidents. On one occasion, while driving on I-80, another driver deliberately attempted to run me off the road. In another unsettling encounter, while washing my car in my own driveway, a stranger drove up, hurled insults at me, and then left while running stops signs. Reviewing my HOA security footage, I confirmed that this individual had never been in my neighborhood before, making it clear that I was specifically targeted. Beyond my personal experiences, I am a member of several Tesla owner forums where widespread reports of similar attacks are being shared. Owners are facing physical threats, vandalism, and intimidation simply because of their vehicle choice. The idea that a political party must do more dramatic things in response to defeat is not new to the social media age. New bio of John Lewis describes his approach to Newt Gingrich et al taking the House in 1994.

Lewis applied Civil Rights era lessons and a willingness to burst norms to hurt Newt.

No one wants a paper trail because spending funds Congress has not appropriated is colloquially known as “stealing from the US Treasury.”
However, on Friday, FAA officials ordered staff to begin finding tens of millions of dollars for a Starlink deal, according to a source with knowledge of the FAA and two people briefed on the situation. The sources note that these internal directives have mostly, if not entirely, been delivered verbally — which they say is unusual for a matter like this. The source with knowledge of the FAA tells Rolling Stone that it appears as though “someone does not want a paper trail.”
