Hello! 🍜

I am a baker based in #Mumbai, India. I bake these plum #cakes with rum every Nov/Dec.

Dried fruits and nuts are soaked in Old Monk rum and then finally go into this decadent #Christmas treat. If you want to order or know more, number's in the menu.

Note: human consumption is the least of the concern. Majority is agriculture, and then the usual suspects : clothing/textile, beverages, mining, car/manufacturing manufactured. Regulate the bloody industries.

This is too much of a gem to be left around only for Malayalam speakers. I was thinking about Eko the movie and was reading "Parinamam", an award winning Malayalam novel where dogs feature prominently. I mean. This is one of the most bonker novels in Malayalm okay ? Badass.

Commonly, we give dogs Anglo Indian names right ? During wartime, we even gave them German names, like “Kaiser” or “Hitler”. In rare cases, Muslim names too - Tippu or Haider. “Tommy” or “Joy” are also very acceptable. But Syrian Christian names like “Koshy” or “Paili” don’t really work for dogs. For female dogs, what suits more are Hindu names like “Rani” or “Geetha”. Not “Eliamma” or “Subaida”. All this has nothing to do with the dogs’ breed or place of origin or even character. Have you ever heard of a Sengottai dog called “Muniyandi” ? Well, in honour of these social norms, I called him “Tommy”. He turned around and looked at me. “Come, Tommy”, I continued in English. That is also an important law. You should talk to good dogs in English. You can say “Poda” in Malayalam to the strays around the bus stand. Tamil, to Sengottai dogs and the rat hunter dogs seen with the Naykkans.
