I have been masking every time I'm in public for a year now, and I have not been sick once. Not getting covid brain damage feels great btw.

It's ironic, because the response to the 2009 H1N1 pandemic was so effective that most Americans remember it as a panic about nothing, if they remember it at all.

That's the public health paradox in action; if it's effective, it creates the illusion that it's unnecessary.
Illogical quarantines. Optional testing. You-do-you PPE.

The H5N1 outbreak on dairy farms could have been ended with swift action months ago. Instead, officials deployed the COVID playbook. Now, we’re a mutation away from disaster:

Biden's USDA Let H5N1 Spread. Now Bird Flu is a Loaded Gun in Trump's Hands
The Biden Administration never had any plan to control the H5N1 outbreak on dairy farms; now, it's spreading widely in a country ill equipped to understand or control airborne disease.

I like the liberal cognitive dissonance where CEOs are worth their pay because of the results they personally get from the companies they direct but where they also cannot be held personally responsible for the negative actions of those companies

Reminder that one of the most important times to wear a mask is right now during holiday season travel. Transits hubs are high risk as many people travel while they are sick. A high quality mask like an N95 will help protect you and help ensure you don't miss out on valuable time with loved ones.

The Vagus Nerve innervates the vocal cords.

It also moves the foregut. That increases the risks of volume reflux and secondary cord damage

My milk frother also heats as it froths, and I've discovered that if I add in powdered chocolate, I can make a delightfully frothed hot chocolate in under a minute. This is dangerous knowledge for a man of my considerable appetites and wild, hedonistic disposition
