I shoot a bow and arrow. I am also learning how to fly airplanes. I also...post? a lot of sports related stuff mainly Padres and Tottenham Hotspur. Democratic Socialism. Final Fantasy XIV.
lol "retirement".

AJ Preller low-key gaslit us all. He fired Mike Shildt and got Shildt to save his own face by "retiring".

The shoe thing, yea, bare feet are gross, and you can bring harm to your feet. But, what is it with the insistence that air travel requires you to dress like you’re in the office? What is so special about being crammed in a sardine can 35,000’ high that needs a dress code?
Duffy on his demand that air travelers not wear slippers or pajamas: "It honors our country ... don't take your shoes off and put your feet on the chair ahead of you"

Americans are holding onto devices longer than ever before, and while it may be consumer smart, it comes at a cost to work productivity and the U.S. economy.

To use some soccer banter in American gridiron football, the Eagles “bottled” that game.

if you genuinely think Schumer and Democratic leadership opposed this & Republicans coincidentally got exactly the number of votes they needed to avoid a filibuster and none of those votes are from Democratic Senators who are up for reelection in the midterms next year, I have a bridge to sell you.

Trump literally went on the internet and blamed the shutdown for Democrats sweeping elections and Democrats responded by being like oh fuck we better start losing again. I’d be cackling if I was him, too!

It’s okay because the Republicans promised to hold this exact same vote in a month
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

remember that old episode of Twilight Zone where the couple are told that if they press this button they'll get $200k but a stranger will die?

well the senate democratic caucus is mashing that button over & over just to avoid the possibility that their holiday season flights might get delayed
Senate Democrats voting to dismantle the ACA to avoid any problems with their Thanksgiving travel is tragically on brand.

I'm legitimately confused about the play here. No person who now is going to go without coverage in the ACA is going to just blame the GOP. They will rightly blame the Democrats too. Dems won't get "points" for "fighting" if they cave. It makes little sense.
