Park and Ride bus provision is not adequate. It is peak travel time. I have waited 50 minutes for a bus to P&R. Only one bus arrived and was too full to get on. This makes it impossible to commute to work in Oxford.

Sorry, it's my fault. I started listening to the cricket and now it is going all wrong. I will stop and maybe some wickets will come. #ashes

Hey DJ on Spotify. Yes I do sometimes like drum and bass but not at 6:30 am. Also when unwrapped tells me that I am a top 5% listener of Mumford &Sons, it is not because I chose to be so.

Happy International Mens Day. Men still do the most dangerous jobs. Are more likely to take their own lives. Experience perceived social penalties for being paternal, caring, sensitive etc. So, with consent, hug a man today. Fixing the patriarchy is in the best interests of men too!

I'm in full agreement with IGN's 9 out of 10 review of Dispatch.

I finished it last night & absolutely loved it. It is a true revival of the Telltale game (it's made by ex-Telltale devs). It's funny, well-written & the strategy game layer is surprisingly fun. Play it!

🚆 New trains for Chiltern Railways!

Yesterday I joined the team at London Marylebone for the launch of their modern new fleet, which will mean more capacity, greater comfort and a better experience for passengers. These trains start rolling out from early 2026 — great news for our region.

The curse of Thatcherism was not just greed. It was short-termism disguised as freedom. Privatisation made millionaires from share prices and dividends, while leaving millions in cold, costly poverty. A quarter of every bill now feeds profit, not service.

I'm sure financial journalists can correct me if I'm wrong, but it also seems reminiscent of how very large risky assets were concentrated in the balance sheet of a handful of too-big-to-fail institutions.

I have started to watch @channel4news.bsky.social this week and I really appreciated the insight of several key stories. The best thing was zero mention of the misinformation moron Farr@ge. So much better information and less bias than BBC news. Strong recommend.

Bit of a paradox that it takes a US Democrat to challenge Farage, whereas UK Labour does a decaf tribute act for him
Democrat @raskin.house.gov excoriates Nigel Farage for banning journalists from Reform UK events:

"I'm asking you a direct question. Why do you ban journalists who oppose your views from coming to your events? Why did you tell local government not to do interviews with your local newspaper?"
