I don’t know the extent to which these politicians are the softest people alive or are playing a part for the softest constituents alive, but either way, the softest people alive. Just humiliating to live life like that.

They can be expected to pass a couple things next year to justify giving themselves the power, but by and large if they had a legislative agenda with 51 enthusiastic votes they would have already done this.
