so my wife @lnc0.bsky.social has learned that it is a losing battle most of the time to say "I think you will like this game" and instead will just play the game on the big TV for 5 minutes, knowing full well as soon as fae stops I'm going to immediately mainline it (ballXpit, I'm looking at you)

weird phenomenon i keep encountering where “writers” correctly identify the soul-sucking danger that large language models pose to their craft, but for some reason have no problem using generative AI to make images. like….are you stupid!!!!

Shout out to the Naked Bikeride who today ran hundreds of naked people directly through the line of federal officers and effectively blocked them from assaulting demonstrators. Being naked on a bike goes on the list of effective tactics if you get at least 500 of them and the city loves you.

I deleted a post of me in a frog suit with my 7-yr old daughter because a big account reposted, admonishing us for not being serious enough protestors (or something). I shouldn’t have included my daughter in the image, which was why I deleted it. But I was stunned by the condescension.

Also for sim and management games specifically, letsgameitout on YouTube does a lot of sim games and breaks them which is fun, and sometimes it will inspire me to pick one up to play it "right" 😂
