In a world of a million posts a day, most of them only serve to add another layer to the digital landfill - written by machines, read by machines. And then, there's "Puppy-killing scientist smuggles rainforest babies in body cavity."

Enjoy.

Puppy-killing scientist smuggles rainforest babies in body cavity
I almost got away with it – for five days I had covered my body and slathered insect repellant onto my skin with an almost religious zeal, but on the last day I faltered. I was in Belize, teaching …

The rhetoric today is nearly indistinguishable from Know-Nothing rhetoric about the Irish, the Italians, and the Jews.
Fox News' Will Cain: "I’m sure there are very honorable law-abiding upstanding citizens and contributors from the Somali community here in the United States, BUT..."

He goes on to say "we aren’t going to pretend here that all cultures are of equal value or the same."

Once again, one of the most consistently replicated findings in the history of experiments is that giving people cash with zero strings attached has massive social benefits for those receiving the cash as well as the community around them
An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

It's with heavy hearts that we share that Claude, our beloved albino alligator, has passed away at the age of 30. Claude brought joy to millions of people at the Academy and across the world during his 17 year tenure. We will miss him dearly. 🤍

I love how they position this shit as if it was cool when Obama did it. It wasn't. We didn't approve of it then either. This is no different than the Rs who say "well Bill Clinton is in the Epstein Files". Yeah! We know! Toss his ass in jail too.

We need to be as offended when these kinds of ideas are used to oppress the incarcerated, addicts, the poor, etc. The unspoken belief that what makes suffering and cruelty wrong is dependent on who it is aimed at is a cancer on our society. I think it's human nature, but something to be resisted.
Vice signaling.

What kind of person is so proud of immoral, criminal, inhumane actions that they broadcast their fantasy it was even worse?

And what type of person likes watching that?

Even when killing is necessary for security—and this wasn't close—it should be serious, forced by circumstances.

Yeah. Before the fall, CK's act—and his fandom—rested on the premise that his worst self wasn't his true self. Now it's the opposite, and that's just not interesting as comedy.
He is just generally an alt-right, unrepentantly racist and transphobic piece of shit. He is also a genuinely bad comedian, much in the way that thin-skinned assholes often are 🤷‍♀️
