This book is great, but it’s weird for me to think of a scene I remember very well as the equivalent of Teddy Boys in the 1970s or something. We should have dressed more distinctively

Why don’t they make wholesome toys like this anymore?? Paper cutouts of famous characters like Moon Mullins and “Lillums,” and a paper mask you put over your mouth to crudely conceal your lips moving as you enact a grotesque parody of ventriloquism! I suppose this would be a VIDEO GAME today!!!
