Your day becomes so much more grueling when you have to go through a dull, not very stimulating job while such doomy news is all over the place and therefore left to ruminate in your brain.

Is there really no money among all the GOOD people in the biz to start up a new United Artists - or better yet, multiple of them - to make entertainment companies actual *entertainment* companies again and not a shareholder vessel? It'd be so much easier to move on from corporate Hollywood for good.

The pop of the AI bubble and subsequent economy crash needs to become the death of this era of predatory capitalism and venture capital and 'line go up'. We need to make it that however we can. I don't want to hear defeatist talk that it won't be. We only have the power when we all believe we do.

It'd be nice if there was a way for all the calls to refuse giving Harry Potter and JKR any support to actually break out of these walls, because I dunno how you can look at this and still in good conscience indulge in it.
Seems like JK Rowling is having a major influence on these organizations for women and girls. I keep seeing her mentioned in a lot of these UK articles.

I can't stress enough that you should take every opportunity that comes your way to support your local public libraries. Many of them are currently struggling and are being DEFUNDED. Local action matters on this front. Don't sit back until those libraries are gone before taking ACTION.
