Well ain't this place a geographical oddity
Look, I'm sure that Nolan's adaptation of "The Odyssey" will be fun, but I highly doubt it will be as good as the original.

Wait what - PER MONTH?
Sources: India raises concerns about the misuse of Indian phone numbers on WhatsApp, which banned 9.8M Indian accounts per month on average in 2025 to October (Kiran Rathee/The Economic Times)

The other day I saw a video with a historian who specializes in Victorian times, who swore that the Muppets version best captures the spirit of Dickens' original. I guess it's my favorite because I've loved every Muppet movie I've ever seen so far.

we have a really good dev rel engineer here throwing himself to (i would say) a small number of very loud, hungry wolves because the new ceo did (i would also say) a very weird announcement that sounded like it was written in 2024 by an ai startup
Something that hasn't been made clear: Firefox will have an option to completely disable all AI features.

We've been calling it the AI kill switch internally. I'm sure it'll ship with a less murderous name, but that's how seriously and absolutely we're taking this.

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

Omg my friend has this. She calls left and right "direction 1" and "direction 2" resp when driving. Dir 1 is left because if you get in a collision and you get hit from dir 1, it's your fault, and if you get hit from dir 2 (the right) it's their fault and that is ACTUALLY her reasoning.

If you look up the movie on IMDb, the rating isn't out of 10 but 11. RIP Rob Reiner who was behind some of the greatest movies ever made.
god bless rob reiner for spinal tap

I have always wanted to visit New York City but now I guess I will pass on it. There are plenty of cool places elsewhere in the world to go - I will go there instead.
NEW: Five years of social media history is only a fraction of what the US Government will shortly demand of overseas visitors.

The full requirements will end tourism in the United States.

Below is the full, mind-blowing list.

It's so weird. I'll tell people that North Korea is surprisingly good at cyber warfare and they'll look at me with this glazed look and even I'll not quite believe what I've just said, even though I know it's true - from sources I trust, like Marcus.

It's useful to note that the incidence of "some degree of dyslexia" is about 10%.

Not all dyslexics are helped by the same font features. I know one who strongly prefers monospaced fonts, which is counter-intuitive.

My #1 recc is DO NOT FULLY JUSTIFY. Ragged right helps a lot.
In other news, the whole thing about Calibri v. TNR isn't about a font face, it's about the fact that Calibri is easier for people with some disabilities to read.

They think any accommodation, however painless, should stop.

I am having a lot of fun with #adventofcode this year. Doing Python, and so far - seven days - the whole thing runs in under 700ms. Many of them under 20ms.
