Trump & Vance are the worst of us. America is bigger than them, and they win if we let them define us.
Team USA is the best of us. It's filled with Americans MAGA hates—first-generation + immigrants, LGBTQ+ athletes, people of color—& I'm gonna root for them.

I really really want these athletes to have a great experience, be competitive and perhaps win a gold medal, but, honestly, the thought of hearing "USA!USA!USA!" during their games kinda makes me cringe. If we were any other country the IOC would ask us to march under the olympic flag.

I can't think of any way to say this that won't sound condescending but "I'm so mad at Dems for not standing up to fascists" and pledging not to vote and let the fascists hold power is not standing up to fascism. No one is making you vote for the "establishment" candidate but what's the plan then?

This is fine and good but have a plan. "We're not gonna vote for the Dems we don't like" isn't a plan. Unless the plan is more of the same.

"Jobs and economy" was the #1 exit polling issue for voters in 2024, and while there were major issues brought about by systemic late-stage capitalism, overall the numbers were solid within the current paradigm. They're a shitshow now, but even though Trump's unpopular, not any more so than Biden 1/
