Also there's an implicit belief that if someone does some experimenting with their gender and/or sexuality at time 1 and at time 2 decides they're mostly or entirely cis or straight, they'll somehow be sullied or ruined by having experimented.

I also am baffled that people are assuming this super checkered barely known guy will be super progressive as though we're not living in a post Fetterman universe.
It's nuts that these are the two candidates the respective wings of the Maine Dems have coughed up. I am positive there are, somewhere in the state, a moderate who's not 97 years old and a progressive who doesn't have nazi tattoos.
