It's almost as though creating a market where the initial release of a game is deliberately made inferior through nickel and diming, coupled to economic systems increasingly robbing people of disposable income, was not a well-considered long-term plan.

This is a fun idea, and one based in existing canon when you consider it's just a repurposed warp core ejection system. Taking the concept further: could turbolifts also have an auxiliary function as lifeboats? They're already enclosed, mobile, and conveniently accessible throughout a ship.
One of the first bits of art I posted to Twitter back in 2022 after making this account there.
The Enterprise-D being so large, I reasoned that it might take a dangerously long time for everyone to reach the lifeboats. This concept shows tall lifeboats spanning multiple decks. [1/2]

I'd like to be excited about the new Star Trek: Voyager game that came out of nowhere, not least of which to keep Kim level 1 throughout the whole run for authenticity, but I confess I'm worried when the running lights are on the wrong sides.
