This may seem niche

But COVID infection can trigger mast cell dysfunction

So it is becoming more common, and there are not enough doctors who know how to recognize and manage it

I recently purchased a heated cloak as sometimes due to poor circulation my body gets extra cold.

But alas I forgot how sensitive my spine is to weighted things & its too painful to use

If I wish to fulfill my destiny as a toasty wizard, I will have to find other means of warmth lol

Was just at a neighborhood school at dismissal. Hundreds of people with whistles surrounding the school and stationed down every block making sure ICE doesn’t snatch anyone. The same is happening at all the schools around here. I love my neighborhood and I love Chicago.

I'm so very tired of trying to manage energy math

As of this year, I've had an energy limiting chronic illness for over half my life

I know it could be so much worse (and even though I've survived worse, I know it could be even worse than that)

But I'm just so tired of being exhausted

Then it was being wired tired and trying to convince my body to sleep. I got like... a short burst of activity this morning just to try to get fluid moving in my legs

And so far my body has not punished me for this, so, that's good but I guess we'll see

so I ended up laying flag with my legs up a wall for like... two hours, and then I spent the next 5 hours doing Crash Recovery Resting

I mean, I didn't have to be in total darkness and I had enough energy to snuggle my cat so again this is big progress

I even managed to brush my teeth before bed!

because I also had forgotten to factor "putting perishables in fridge" into my errand math

ICYMI, my body has these annoying fixed periods each day where I Must Rest With My Legs Elevated and Do Nothing Cognitively Taxing

I had a $10 off coupon at the pet store, but only if I went in person

and theoretically this was fine, except

the bar code on the coupon had faded and so it was an extra ~15 minutes of standing in front of a hot sunny window to get a manager to figure it out

my POTS was like "WTF is your problem"

yesterday I went in person to two (2!) stores. just small corners of each store, nearby, with a ride.

but this would have been inconceivable to me a few years ago when I was about ~90% bedbound

and yet there's still a fucking physical cost to going out
