Now enjoying Malta sun & sea.
A life behind me of curious change and interesting people.
From Mancunia and yet travelling in both time & space here.
Join me for the craic & childlike adulting.
A temple to consumerism.
I have not worshipped here for years but I was there on its opening day decades ago.
Chocolate now twisted into every day fantastical shapes.
My UK visit is gifting me a day of wonder today.
Parking remains a magical black art.
Food outstanding.
Best samosa chaat ever.

The type of things that happen when a foolish reality TV actor appoints a petty, drunk talk show chatterbox to run our military:

War. 🎹🎸🎸
What is good for?
Absolutely nothing.
But the American balance sheet.
Edwin Starr said war means tears to thousands of mothers eyes.
Friend only to the undertaker.
Wars seem to happen by osmosis instead of actual governmental votes in America.
Peace seems to break out when America leaves.

Love still
threads
its way
through
the noise,
quiet but
unbroken,
insisting on
being felt.
Even as the
world fractures,
it softens
what it can.
We hold
one another
in the storm,
a single touch
becoming
fiercely
relevant.
And somehow,
that small
tenderness
keeps us
human.

@reecedinsdale.bsky.social currently entertaining my grandkids writing an adventure for Rumble the Dinosaur shopping at the Trafford Centre!
Visiting the UK reminds me why I live in Gozo.
Too cold!
Turn the heating up?
Bah Humbug.

Thinking of making a horror movie about a man who keeps discovering 12-inch rulers in his home. It's a found footage film.

My sensei days in the 1970s raising money for charity.
I had hair.
I wore glasses.
I loved teaching.
I feel it was all a dream.
It was not & that core strength keeps me going today.
A different world.
The same me.
Showing my grandkids some basics today.
The memories flooded back.

1) Start the worst European war since 1945 and commit every imaginable war crime
2) Decide how you want to be rewarded for your aggression
3) Leak the list of your desiderata to the US press
4) Wait for the US president to enforce your wish list on your victim.

Traditional Asian wedding venue.
Lots of bling.
The food defines its success.
Multiple curries.

Family wedding in the UK.
I am wearing thermals!
I am getting too delicate for UK weather.
Daughter sent a picture from her walk in Malta today.
Cruel.... 🤣

A first night
A silent night
A night of tears & triumph
the fizzing blood
the exhausted energy
that brings a smile of relief
it's done
it's one
it's more & more
it's set yet changing
to learn
about yourself
under all those eyes
forging chains in life
shapes of memories

Silent nights
Consumers rights
All was locked
Under Xmas lights
Sky leaden with snow
Tomorrow shoppers flow
Along consumerisms veins
Under Santa's reins
The sledge overhead
That spirits dead
Childhoods led
Each & every one
skipping along
A path to adulthood
To sweat & blood
to dreamless nights
Alone

A friend's doing charity work in the Gambia.
I feel the local wild cats are a step above these i am used to.
It's a big wide world out there.
This is a view I do not envy him.

Pionero Lounge Rochdale.
A shade of Rochdale past.
Now part of the new town centres future.
Adding soul to those parts not steeped in history.
Light & shade.

Home in Gozo.
I am away in Rochdale.
I miss these sunsets but my daughter is able to capture & share them.
So she did.
I will be back there soon!
Gods pallette.

Family wedding.
I love the opulence of traditional wedding outfits.
This dress weighed almost as much as my wife who was wearing it.
Glorious....

Rochdale.
A town I know well.
Birthplace of the Co-Op.
Gracie Fields
Lisa Stansfield.
Magnificent Town Hall even Hitler loved from afar.
A jewel set in the folds of the pennines & magnificent moors.
The rain is gone!
The urban street art festival made it a town even more worthy of a visit.
Stunning

Finally in the UK for a family visit.
Wet Wet Wet.
Windy.
Cold.
A strong reminder of why Gozo is my happy place.
Left this morning, baking sunshine over clear blue seas.
I have become a cold wet miserable sponge after five hours here.
A warm caring family masks the horror.
Move back here?
Hell no!
November 14, 2025 at 11:13 PM
Flying to the UK tomorrow.
Thermals, jumpers & waterproofs packed.
Family wedding.
Two weeks of family fun.
I spent the day imitating a solar panel soaking up the sun here in Gozo.
I may come back remembering why I moved here.
But I am very excited.
How has the UK changed?
Or will it be the same

Strayed onto Fox news today.
Surreal.
It's 'news' bears no relationship to the rest of the press.
I felt like I had passed through a wardrobe into Narnia.
Magic is clearly very real to its readers, unlike science or facts.
I managed to escape without the usual threats a trip to X once risked.
Safe
