A partir de ma photo, David Chevreau, spécialiste des reptiles (herpétologue) m’a expliqué que ce serpent était une couleuvre d’Esculape, qui se nourrit de rongeurs comme les rats, sans danger pour les animaux domestiques ou les humains (www.serpentsdefrance.com)

J’ai appelé « SOS Serpents » Sud Ile-de-France pour savoir quel était ce serpent, s’il était dangereux, et ce qu’il convenait de faire. Ces experts en reptiles permettent d’identifier, rassurer, conseiller, aider à la cohabitation ou en dernier recours déplacer les animaux.

Au printemps dernier, j’ai eu la surprise de voir un serpent enroulé, endormi dans ma cabane de jardin. Plusieurs voisins de Villejust ont aussi vu cet animal se déplacer dans leurs jardins
