Until the #Democrats, and #Liberals to only a slightly lesser extent, recognize and start admitting that they have played a VERY significant role in what is currently happening all across North America, we will never survive.
We do not have a hope of ever experiencing a decent quality of life again.

Even if the Alberta government doesn’t get a pipeline built, never underestimate their ability to leverage projects to nowhere that move public dollars into private pockets.

Meanwhile, they’ll divide FNs against one another and deepen colonial harms. It’s their MO, and increasingly Carney’s too.
plus obliterating Indigenous consultation through ministerial discretion, which is the win-win for the UCP and feds. Now the UCP get to combine lack of consultation with virtually unlimited criminalization powers via Critical Infrastructure Act.

Are people actually reading this before sharing, because it is definitely NOT the flex Carney supporters think it is.

See comments for some very pertinent takeaways.

This Thanksgiving we are so grateful that we get to know turkeys in ways that most people don't. Here are ten awesome things we love about turkeys! 🦃

1. Their gorgeous plumage. Most people think turkeys are just "brown" but their feathers have beautiful patterns, colors, and iridescence!

It's so much worse than most people seem to grasp. All the trashed regulations coupled with billions being thrown into the carbon capture pit and AI all to be powered by nuclear power? He didn't even ask them to lift the wind and solar moratorium.

Understand that the #MOU is not only catastrophic in the pipeline arena.
Whether pipelines are built, or not, this agreement removes tremendous amounts of environmental protections that will ensure destroying the environment in a myriad of ways that we will NEVER come back from.

Curious about gulper sharks, whose CITES Appendix II proposal passed today, and the threats to Deepwater sharks from the liver oil trade? I wrote about this last year.

Deepwater Sharks Are Threatened by Demand for Liver Oil
One in seven species of deepwater sharks and rays is threatened with extinction because of the liver oil and meat trade and emerging fishing technologies that make it possible to catch deep-sea fishes

Capitalism, not Democracy.
CAPITALISM is what's created the current oligarch crop in the USA and Canada and capitalism needs to die a very quick death if we're to survive.

I'm seeing a lot of Liberals gloat about how they think they played Smith and this pipeline will be tied up in legal challenges for years.

Yeah, legal challenges that we in BC will have to fight. Carney just dropped a steaming pile on our doorstep to clean up.

Thanks?

So much for all this investing in O&G creating big paycheque "generational" jobs for Canadians.

I really feel sorry for the people believing this MAGA Trump-style propaganda bullshit.
Canada’s economic growth beat expectations this quarter.

We’re diversifying our trade, building big, and creating well-paying careers — and we’re getting results.

Canada isn't broke cause solar and wind are cheaper.
It sounds like it's not a real Canadian decision but rather a US imposed decision on a vassal state.
I smell a complete loss of Canadian autonomy here.

Relying entirely on pipelines, mining and logging are the OPPOSITE of hard work. Resorting to destroying the environment, when we KNOW that all those industries exacerbate the effects of climate change is LAZY and the easy way out that will end up with generations paying the ultimate price.
