I wish people took us more seriously about it, though. I'm not being dramatic, I'm being real. I cannot talk to people all day long. I don't care what someone's ~emotions are about a place of business. Minimum wage cannot make me care about that.

I've been on EI for nearly 6 months. It runs out in 4 months.

Pretty soon I am going to end up middle-aged working at fast food or retail when I have the skills for more. And the customer service will make me suicidal (not a joke, an actual fact).

Big jobs print up north.

(Bloomberg) -- The Canadian economy added more jobs than expected but the unemployment rate held steady as more people entered the workforce.
Employment rose by 60,400 positions in September, driven by increases in full-time work.
The jobless rate was unchanged at 7.1%, Statistics Canada data showed Friday. The job gains surpassed even the most optimistic projection in a Bloomberg survey of economists -- the median forecast was for 5,000 jobs to be created.
Gains were led by public employment. The manufacturing sector added 27,800 employees, and agriculture, health care and other services all added workers. The employment rate -- the proportion of the working-age population that's employed -- rose 0.1 percentage points to 60.6% in September.

anyway if you wanna move down here there's a really adorable 3-bed 2-bath apt right across the street from me for $1800+hydro and gas. but if you can get a house just do that instead cause gas is like $300/mo and hydro like $250. or something

Was just looking at places to rent in my area so that I can be aware of what the market's like. Looks like it's $1100-1300 to rent a one-bed apt. And most rents now do not include hydro.

So I also looked at Buffalo. Same prices, but in USD, which means they're a lot more expensive.

Yikes.

My phone volume is OFF for media. This means every time I'm sent a video it better have captioning or not require sound.

My notifications/ringtone are at the lowest level.

To clarify, my dad is only 61, but he was an adolescent/young adult during hair metal ("if it's too loud, you're too old!") and was a mechanic for 40 years. His hearing loss isn't profound, but it's marked.

But people his age always have their device volume at unholy levels compared to millennials.

Cleo aimed for them a lot 🙄 so I never wore them cause they were always freshly pukey. Even after I cleaned them I would just leave them for her.

Yeah it's very versatile! And if you make it with stock and add more water, then you can put noodles in it for an actual soup instead. It's many things!

And the leftovers were so good. Time for a nap.

Same one I sent! These are just the changes. Serve on spuds instead of rice. Instead of chicken stock, can of chicken gravy. Butter chicken sauce if you want (I normally just add it to my serving, but I cooked it in)

Steve and informed me this is the best I've ever made it. I didn't have chicken stock so I used a can of chicken gravy.

I also plopped a good 1/4 cup of butter chicken sauce in with it.

And served over potatoes is divine. So my recipe has changed but it's really doable.

I'm not against card games, but I resist deck builders. I love a traditional deck of cards and also see nothing wrong with scorekept Uno.

I do have simpler more classic games, but I also have like 50 other games on my shelf. I know what to pick for others' skill levels and interests!

Some people out there that don't know modern games would likely know Risk: not a roll and move, but definitely a classic and more simple type of game.

So in my assumption that they're minorly aware that there are plenty of types of games, I would say "chaotic and thinky ones".

Why would someone with no knowledge of modern board games ask what "types" of board games you play? Someone with zero knowledge we can assume knows about staples like Monopoly, Sorry, Snakes and Ladders, Trouble, etc (so, basically roll and run/move with few extra complications).
