my take is that in most countries there are two axes here, a regionalism axis and an urban/rural divide axis that generally do not perfectly align, but the US is in a moment where the regionalism is really weakening.
Do other countries have this weird notion that you’re not a “real” representative of the nation if you live in an urban center? Like do the French say Parisians aren’t really French? Are you considered not a real German if you live in Berlin? Or is this mainly a weird American thing?

this, every time Trump has been accused of a sex crime, since 2016, his reaction has been "but what about Bill Clinton?!" and somehow, every time for a decade people have rushed to scream about how they'll rip Clinton apart, and Trump disappears from the story, over and over again.
If they admitted the obvious, then fighting fascism would dictate that they need to defend Clinton here, and they don’t want to do that.
Throw the book at Clinton if there’s proof, but until then, the logical answer is that he’s innocent here and being used as a distraction from Trump’s crimes
