the constitution has a whole lot of badly overdue amendments needed to make the US a functioning democracy, but one of them should be abolishing the presidential pardon. it has almost always been used for corruption. the very rare times that sentences were commuted for drug users etc is not worth it

the service members who violated the law by following this order should be punished along with Hegseth. if they're not smart enough to refuse illegal orders then maybe service members having the fear of the law put back in them will fix that. make an example of everyone up and down the chain
