i can't help but feel like i made a mistake going back to school when i probably should have been advancing my management skills... folks told me it's never too late to go back, but after all these years i wonder who'd want to even hire someone like me again

this is why we need a co-op model that distributes governance!! we keep chasing technical solutions for organizational challenges & end up in situations like this. open and distributed don't mean much if it's just a few making the final calls
Imagine begging Bluesky for features, having your PRs sitting unmerged and ignored for months, and then turning around and saying that EYEEE am the centralizing influence around here.
