I wasn't a jag, but I was a O-4 (USAF, Maj). IMO, blowing up these boats is in fact illegal. I believe the officers should stand down the orders. But I don't think the enlisted crew should be held responsible. They're doing what they're supposed to do. They don't know who or what is on boat.
As Sargent says, the upshot of Trump calling for Dems to be executed/investigated for reminding the military of their oath is it centers a conversation about Trump giving illegal orders — which was those Dems’ goal all along.
