So unbelievably proud of Minnesota for making it so loud and so clear that good people won’t be cowed, won’t stand for ICE terrorizing communities and neighbors - just so many good people, goddamn, there you are, I see you all
These headlines are in prominent, if not top slots on the largest outlets. By this alone, it has already been an incredible success.

This is a really good thread. If her name sounds familiar but you can't place her, Margaret Killjoy is the podcaster who does "Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff" (the counterpart to "Behind the Bastards," which is also a good podcast and which she appears on pretty regularly.)
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

this is the first time it’s been called for since the 1940s

We're catching up on the end of last year with the inimitable @bluejo.bsky.social, whose penultimate reading list for 2025 includes some classic heists and thievery, romance, magic, poetry and poets, and more!

Heists! A gentleman-thief! Plus some very good romance (with and without magic)…

Hype each other up as often as possible.

If you like someone’s work, as a fan or a peer, tell them. (This is how so many of best relationships began!)

It will always catch them at a good moment. Because rejections are hard. Making art is hard.

Tell people when you like things. It matters.
