WTF! The Trump administration plans to review (with the intent to remove or eliminate) some of the nation’s wildlife refuges and fish hatcheries. Agency director Brian Nesvik ordered officials to identify refuges/hatcheries whose purpose the administration claims “no longer aligns with the mission.”

Biologists made up a large portion of the staff losses, sparking concern among conservation groups who worry the agency has less capacity to track endangered plants and animals and restore habitats.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife sees nearly 20% drop in staff since Trump took office
Oregon and Washington lost a combined 50 senior level scientists and staff in the past year, followed by California which lost 40, Florida which lost 20 and Hawaii which lost 10 senior staff.

The Skagit and Snoqualmie Rivers, as just two examples, are both expected to surpass major flood stage, cresting today and tomorrow. We're also expecting winds up to 60 mph.

I want to remind Washingtonians to stay alert, listen to evacuation orders, and obey road closure signs.

Thank you to Chef José Andrés and World Central Kitchen! So grateful for all those helping our state get through this.
WCK teams delivered our first meals in Burlington, Washington to first responders and families impacted by recent severe weather. Residents of nearby Mount Vernon came to pick up sandbags to fortify their homes, and we made sure they also had sandwiches in hand before they left. #ChefsForWashington

I understand that many in our state have experienced significant floods in the past. However, we're looking at a historic situation, expecting 2 feet higher than record flood level.

If you have instructions to evacuate from your local authorities, please evacuate.

Of course. The consumer should always be the last to know.
Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

Don't look up!

It’s time for Speaker Johnson to cut the ridiculous excuses and do his job. Adelita Grijalva won an election more than 6 weeks ago, and she still hasn’t been sworn in to represent more than 800,000 Arizonans. Read her op-ed:
I was elected 6 weeks ago. Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to swear me in.
Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to swear me into office, an unprecedented and starkly undemocratic position that sets a very dangerous precedent.

It is stunning the lengths Donald Trump will go to in order to force children and seniors to go hungry.
