I really like them personally. They strike a fine balance between a smooth retro look and a sharp fine pitch pro look. Some people also even seek out ones with a lower dot pitch to make everything blend even more. Also worth noting that the tubes can be found in RGB moddable displays as well.

It's a JVC BM-H1900SU. There are Panasonic versions of it too. (same parent company) Ikegami monitors tend to share their tubes as well including clone tubes. crtdatabase.com/crts/panason...

All of the tri-dots that I have seem to have good blacks. Especially on the pro monitor I own. Everything really pops on that. Lightly tinted tubes though. I can't say much about slot masks. I've never owned any higher end ones. Never seen many in my area. I'd love to have a good Toshiba slot mask.

The eccentric Master Librarian of Castlevania rises from his seat to greet Alucard. Always fond of the young master, he reluctantly agrees to offer up his wares, knowing full well that they will be used to vanquish his true master and Lord of Castlevania, the Prince of Evil, Dracula.

In front of a massive painting depicting a plague of winged skeletons reaping the souls of men, Alucard does battle with a ferocious hippogryph, a chimeric monster half eagle, half horse.

Alucard bravely leaps into the tangled mess of hissing snakes and snarling wolves that constitute the body of the watery goddess Scylla, his sword hungry for violence.

They are very cool. Most people seem to prefer aperture grilles because they are sharper and potentially brighter. But, there's just something really pleasing about the smooth soft look of a tri-dot.

Digging through some really old photos. Back when I was messing with RetroArch some. Some Third Strike. A good example of why I enjoy tri-dots so much. Even with a good RGB signal the mask still makes pixels really round. Akuma's eye for example.

i heard you like your october creepy? how about "Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness for Nintendo 64" creepy?

i liked the game on PC RetroArch, but it gets stuck upon entering gameplay with the Wii emulator :( Not64 it is indeed haha (i'm sorry, the cutscenes are flowing like butter smooth)

The new characters are welcome but this entry feels rather incremental in comparison to the future Vampire Savior with its massive roster update.

Jiang Shi Hsien-Ko summons and bangs a mystic gong, repelling noble half-vampire Buddhist monk Donovan Baine.

In a field of crops under an intense sun, Donovan summons a Jojo stand to electrocute Hsien-Ko with a scattered mess of lightning bolts. Skirt flapping, his muscular thighs are exposed and tantalizing.

Continuing his assault, Donovan summons a different Jojo stand, an ice goddess, to freeze Hsien-Ko in her tracks.

Hsien-Ko flies through the air to deliver her heel directly into Donovan's face. Her leg reach is impressive, her form immaculate. Donovan's ward, young Anita, clutches her dolly and observes the ass beating stoically.
